Overview
For this project, our team used detailed CAD and CAE to develop product concepts into manufacturable designs. We worked closely with clients using cloud-based software, allowing designs to be reviewed, adjusted, and refined in real time. This approach improved communication and reduced delays during development. Alongside visual design work, we used analytical studies to support both functional and aesthetic decisions. Throughout the process, we maintained cost awareness and clear control over revisions as the designs evolved.
Methodology
Our team developed the designs through iterative work in SolidWorks and Onshape, enabling rapid updates and direct client feedback throughout the process. We managed revisions carefully to ensure all changes remained clear and comprehensible as concepts progressed. Where required, we carried out FEA and CFD studies to support design decisions. We also produced situational renders to help visualise form, performance, and overall design intent.
Results Discussion
The project delivered high-quality design outputs that successfully bridged early-stage concepts and manufacturable solutions. Real-time collaboration helped streamline revisions, while integrated analysis and visualisation strengthened confidence in the final designs. Overall, the project showed how a well-managed combination of modelling, analysis, and collaboration can support efficient and effective product development.
